Kids yoga is so much fun and silly, while still teaching the eight limbs of yoga in an engaging way. A creatively sequenced class keeps kids involved and teaches them to release stress, listen, to have fun while exercising and to work well together. We will do yoga poses, yoga songs, yoga games, and partner poses. We’ll also explore breath work, mindfulness, and character and compassion education too! The sessions each day will include a yoga class and a yoga craft. Yoga arts and crafts will include meditation jars, talking sticks, lavender eye pillows, flower dream catchers and more.
This class will be taught by Kristin Wilson, who is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 500), as well as a certified Kids Yoga teacher with Kidding Around Yoga. She loves bringing yoga to young yogis. Kristin is also a science teacher at Oak Hall Upper School.
What to bring: a yoga mat.
What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in.
