Vets In Training II-Wildlife Discovery

Have your ever thought about becoming a veterinarian?  Or have you wanted to work with wildlife and farm animals?  Then this camp is for you and your animal loving friends!  You’ll have the chance to get up close and personal with a variety of wildlife and large animal species.  Camp will be lead by 4th year veterinary students from the University of Florida.  This camp offers several hands-0n opportunities and field trips that guarantee to impress!  Field trips include a visit to see the elephants at Two Tails Ranch, a behind-the-scenes tour of UF veterinary hospital and zoological medicine service, and visiting the Retirement Home for Horses ti near how to work with the lovely residents (subject to change).  Campers will have an opportunity to learn about all kinds of animals- including how to care for them via hands-on procedures such as suturing and viewing slides under the microscope!  If you love nature and animals of all kinds, don’t miss out on the fun?  Program fee is $265.00.

  • Drop off is located in the Oxborough Gymnasium
  • Morning Care is available from 7:30am to 8:30am at no additional charge
  • Morning Care is on available for morning and full-day campers
  • If attending a morning session only, pick-up is at 12:00pm in the Oxborough Gymnasium
  • Campers may extend their day and purchase the “extended afternoon option”.  Pick-up begins at 4:00 pm and is located in the PJ Manson Center at the Lower School
  • Aftercare is available for extended aftrernoon campers until 6:00pm at no additional charge
