What better way to beat the dog days of summer than by enjoying the cool waters of Florida! During Wild Wacky Water Week 1, Campers will travel all over the area for a week of clear and cool refreshment. Monday they will start off with a trip to Blue Springs in High Springs for a day of swimming, hiking, and a cookout. Tuesday they will head to Adventure Island in Tampa for an exhilarating day of water slides and the wave pool. Wednesday we will be on the Withlacoochee River for a day of kayaking fun. Thursday campers will travel to the historic Ichnetucknee River for a day of tubing and snorkeling. To cap the week off, the camp will travel to Crescent Beach for a day of fun in the sun on the Florida’s east coast. All trips will be accompanied by a lifeguard or be in locations where the parks have lifeguards posted. Campers should come prepared to get wet, but bring a dry change of clothes, a towel, and a lunch with plenty to drink. Sunscreen is recommended for everyone.
