This camp will blend fun and silly yoga for kids with mindful yoga for young adults. We will work on asanas (poses), including partner poses, yoga games and yoga-based activities. We’ll also explore pranayama (breath work), mindfulness, and yoga nidra. Character and compassion education as they relate to the 8-limbs of yoga will be covered, too. The sessions each day will include a yoga class plus expanded activities, and a yoga craft. Yoga arts and crafts will include creating malas, dream catchers, lavender eye pillows, painting mandala river rocks, origami and more.
This class will be taught by Kristin Wilson, who is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 500), as well as a certified Kids Yoga teacher with Kidding Around Yoga. She loves bringing yoga to young yogis. Kristin is also a science teacher at Oak Hall Upper School.
What to bring: a yoga mat.
What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in.
