This week-long summer camp is designed for rising 6th grade students from lower school and new 6th grade students to Oak Hall. Activities are designed to help the student feel confident and excited about entering middle school. The camp is designed to provide students with strategies for success as they will learn to become more independent, self-advocating learners. Students will gain experience using apps that will be required in classes. Demonstrations and practice on how to organize both a physical/digital notebook and use a planner/agenda will be given so students are ready to begin the new school year. Study skills, test-taking skills, dress code, school rules, even how to open lockers between classes will be covered. Each day is designed to be fun as well as informative for new students as they learn to navigate the Middle School campus. Loaner iPads, locks and materials will be provided.
