Art & Robots Camp, Week I

Art & Robots Camp is in its fifth year of service to the city of Gainesville and its surrounding communities. Each week of camp is unique! Mr. Yu develops, tests, and reveals a never-before-seen robotics challenge using the VEX IQ robotics system for students to experience throughout the week. Mrs. Lancer’s art projects are thoughtfully selected for the camp, intertwining creativity with STEM elements to foster a well-rounded learning experience that sparks both artistic expression and scientific curiosity among the students.

Becky Lancer and Steve Yu founded the Art & Robots Camp in the summer of 2018. They have taught together at Wiles Elementary and now at Oak Hall School. Mrs. Lancer has been an avid art teacher for 9 years with experience teaching kindergarten through high school. Mr. Yu has been a math and science teacher for 14 years and a robotics instructor and coach for 7 years.  The two highly experienced educators have a passion for STEAM education and love to guide young minds to the power of curiosity and exploration.

Program fee is $345 if registered by April 15th; Program fee is $355 if registered April 16th -May 15th; Program fee is $365 if registered after May 15th.

• Morning Care from 7:30am to 8:30am at no additional charge in the multipurpose room of the Lower School.
• Lunch is available
• Pick-up is at 4:00pm
• Aftercare from 4:00pm to 6pm in the multipurpose room on the Lower School Campus at no additional charge
