Marine Biology I Session II: (June 12-16)-CANCELLED

June 12 - June 16

8:30 am - 4:00 pm

Program Fee: $425

This week is jam packed with activities certain to quench the inquisitive thirst of the middle school aged camper…all while having fun! Monday, we will take a trip to the University of Florida Fisheries to explore fresh water habitats of insects, fish, and more! Tuesday, we are off to the Santa Fe River for a canoe trip! On Wednesday we’ll head over to Cedar Key where we rent a pontoon and spend the day fishing! Thursday we’ll head south to Fort Desoto State Park where we will kayak and explore saltwater estuaries during the day. Then we’ll head down the road a chunk for an overnight stay inside the Florida Aquarium and a morning tour before we set sail into the bay for a special dolphin excursion! Then it’s back the Gainesville for a weekend of rest at home before Middle School Super Adventure Week begins! All water trips will be accompanied by a certified lifeguard or be in locations where the parks have lifeguards posted. Campers should come prepared to get wet, but bring a dry change of clothes, a towel, and a lunch with plenty to drink. Sunscreen is recommended for everyone.

Camp fee: $425 (Fee includes transportation, dinner on Thursday, and breakfast and lunch on Friday).
